Resin bound
Resin bound surfacing is an exciting alternative for your driveways, decorative patio area and tree pits.
With a smoother profile texture and appearance than a resin bonded surface, this coating is also available in many different sizes and colours to suit your decorative requirements. The aggregate material is mixed with a suitable resin compound and laid on the prepared surface min 16mm in depth to provide a smooth and aesthetically-pleasing resin bound surface.
A variety of materials can be used in resin bound surfaces, including recycled glass, pigmented and natural aggregates.
As with resin bonded systems, resin bound surfaces are most suitable for none slip areas as the finish is not abrasive. Resin bound systems are also permeable – they allow surface water to drain through, complying with Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS).
